In July 2009, the Company acquired 93.94% interest in China Cord Blood Services Corporation (CCBS). CCBS is a cord blood bank operator in China, with licenses to operate in Beijing Municipality and Guangdong Province. It offers storage services of umbilical cord blood stem cells from newborn babies. CCBS mainly provides cord blood collection, laboratory testing, hematopoietic stem cell processing and stem cell storage services.
