China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) is a China-based company. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company and its subsidiaries were principally engaged in the provision of oilfield services including drilling services, well services, marine support and transportation services, and geophysical services. The Company operates in four business segments: the drilling services segment is engaged in the provision of oilfield drilling services; the well services segment is engaged in the provision of logging and downhole services, such as drilling fluids, directional drilling, cementing and well completion; the marine support and transportation services segment is engaged in the transportation of materials, supplies and personnel to offshore facilities, the transportation of refined products and the transportation of other petrochemical products, and the geophysical services segment is engaged in the provision of offshore seismic data collection and data processing services.
