General Steel Holdings, Inc. (General Steel) operates a portfolio of Chinese steel companies. Its companies serve various industries and produce a variety of steel products, including reinforced bars (rebar), hot-rolled carbon and silicon sheets, spiral-weld pipes and high-speed wire. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company’s aggregate annual production capacity of steel products was 6.3 million metric tons, of which the majority is rebar. The Company has interests in four steel-related subsidiaries: General Steel (China) Co., Ltd., Baotou Steel - General Steel Special Steel Pipe Joint Venture Company Limited (Baotou Steel), Shaanxi Longmen Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Long Steel Group), and Maoming Hengda Steel Group, Ltd (Maoming).
