Description:
Huaneng Power International, Inc. is principally engaged in investment, construction, operation and management of power plants. The Company’s electricity generation business covers Northeast China Grid, North China Grid, Northwest China Grid, East China Grid, Central China Grid and South China Grid, as well as grid in Singapore. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company generated approximately 203.52 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity power. The Company’s power plants are located in Shandong province, Liaoning province, Jiangsu province, Hebei province, Jiangxi province, Chongqing, Gansu province, Henan province, Beijing and Shanghai, among others, China. As of December 31, 2009, the Company had a wholly owned power operation subsidiary in Singapore.
