QKL Stores Inc., formerly Forme Capital, Inc., is the holding company of Daqing Qing Ke Long Chain Commerce & Trade Co., Ltd. (QKL-China). QKL-China is a regional supermarket chain that operates 34 supermarkets and two department stores in northeastern China and Inner Mongolia. Its supermarkets sell a selection of merchandise including groceries, fresh food and non-food items. The Company has distribution center servicing its supermarkets. During the year ended December 31, 2009, the Company acquired approximately 12% of its merchandise directly from manufacturers (not including private label merchandise). As of December 31, 2009, it operates two department stores through QKL-China’s subsidiary, Daqing Qinglongxin Commerce & Trade Co., Ltd. (QC&T). It distributes grocery products to its supermarkets from its two distribution centers located in Daqing, one for fresh food and one for grocery and non-food merchandise.
